New Fable III info - Twitter integration, Natal and John Cleese

Its been a busy day for Peter Molyneux. He's been at GDC giving the low down on what you can expect in the upcoming Fable III.

Today's announcement's include the news that John Cleese will be a voice in the game, Twitter is somehow integrated into it, and how he wants the game to shift 5m copies, a lot more than previous games.

Speaking about Twitter, the Lionhead boss said "I Twitter now and, you know, I’ve got followers on Twitter. That’s an interesting mechanic, and we integrate that into the Fable experience."

He also told IGN how he would like Fable III to sell better than its predecessors, but not for financial purposes.

According to Molyneux, Fable III sold 3 million units on the original Xbox. The sequel sold more than 3.5 million copies on Xbox 360. By moving away from a traditional RPG system and adding emphasis to action and adventure elements, Molyneux hopes even more people will give Fable III a chance.

On the subject of Natal, he stated that Natal in Fable III is "Wonderfully addictive" He didn't give anymore specifics on it, but said "it’s been a real joy to put some Natal stuff in there"

There is also the ability to sell weapons from Fable III over Xbox LIVE to friends, for in game money we're assuming - don't get your hopes up for real dosh. The All new UI was shown off too, remember this is now health-bar free. When your injured, you will physically see the effects, much like Call of Duty for example.

Finally, Lionhead also confirmed that Python legend John Cleese will also appear in the game as your Butler.

So there we have it. A wrap up of all things Fable III at GDC. Some new screen shots from the game  will also be posted soon for you to enjoy. The game is out towards the end of the year.
