Bad Company 2 sells 2.3m copies, says screw you MW2

EA has announced that over 2.3 million copies of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 have been sold in the EU and the US, since the game shipped 2 weeks ago.

The company also dropped some stats about the game, including 81 billion multiplayer points have been racked up since launch, and Bad Companyians have played the game online for almost 3 million hours. That's some commitment.

Producer Karl-Magnus Troedsson, also spoke about some of the early teething problems the game experienced.

“In the first 48 hours we had such a tremendous rush to multiplayer gameplay that our servers experienced overwhelming demand. This is a testament to the massive response players have had worldwide for the extraordinary action experienced in the Battlefield sandbox.”

An update for the game is due out on March 30, the same day as the Modern Warfare 2 DLC will drop. You know, the DLC you have to re-mortgage your house for?
