There is no threat for MW2 this year

In a recent interview with CVG, Robert Bowling from Infinity Ward has said that Modern Warfare 2 won't be moved from the top spot of the Xbox Live chart this year.

We all know the contender at the moment is Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and most of us will probably know that there are a few other possible contenders out later this year, such as Medal of Honor and of course the next Call of Duty game.

CVG asked if he thought any game could beat it on the Xbox Live chart, his reply was, "No, I hope not. I certainly don't see any signs of it. We've been number one since launch and this map pack is going to bring even more people to playing MW2 and extend their play time. I don't see it slipping any time soon."

Remember the map pack is out today, for a whopping 1200 points.

There's also a map pack out today for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for free.

Halo: Reach anyone? I can easily see that game taking MW2 off the top spot...for a week or two at least. They will be occupying the 1st and 2nd spot for ages, swapping over like COD 4 and Halo 3 did.

Yh I think Reach combined with BF BC:2 and the new COD could definitely see MW2 lose its spot for at least a while.
