Standalone 250GB HDD Is Japan Only

As you read in our previous article, the standalone 250GB HDD is set to be released in japan on March 11th. However, VG247 have just confirmed via Microsoft that they have no plans to release it anywhere else in the immediate future.

“We work closely with retailers to determine the best approach for our products on a region-by-region basis,” a Microsoft spokesperson told VG247. “We are now offering a standalone 250GB Hard Drive in Japan to provide consumers in Japan more storage options for their games and entertainment.

“In Europe, the 120Gb hard drive is available for €129.99/£79.99 while supplies last, and we also offer other storage options for consumers to choose from.

“One is the Xbox Live 60bB Starter Pack that includes a 60Gb hard drive, three-month subscription to Xbox Live, Ethernet Cable and Wired Headset for €79.99/£59.99.”

The only other time there have been 250GB offerings have come in the form of bundles with Forza 3, Modern Warfare 2 and Mass Effect 2.
